Dear SWA,
Having just completed a 40,000-mile service with your company
I wanted to thank and praise your staff for a job well done. As
you know, our business requires extensive travel on our 240 and
as a result, quality preventative maintenance is critical. I can
honestly say without hesitation that our VOLVO operates better
now at 40,000 miles that it did at 30,000 miles! Again, outstanding
work. Please do not hesitate to use me as a reference.
Best Regards,
Bruce N.

Dear SWA,
I just wanted to write you and express my appreciation as a customer.
I truly found a great deal when I purchased my 240 DL at your
dealership. I found out quickly that you and all your employees
are dedicated to serving the costumer way beyond the initial sale
of the automobile. That commitment was the best part of the deal.
Approximately one month after I purchased the vehicle, the head
gasket blew and required replacement. I remember speaking with
you on the phone after the machines evaluated the problem. I asked
you if you could assist somehow in the cost of repairs since I
had just purchased the vehicle. Without hesitation, you assured
me that if I would pay for the gaskets, seals and supplies required
for the repair you would take care of the cost of labor. I can
remember you telling me how unusual it was for a Volvo to require
this type of repair. In summary, I could tell you were sincerely
concerned about my opinion of the value of the vehicle I purchased
and my opinion of your establishment. The situation was taken
care of at very minimal cost to me.
However, your commitment went beyond that repair. After the head
gasket repair, the vehicle began having oil pressure problems.
I remember you calling me that Saturday after Christmas, a day
when you were closed for service repairs, and again assuring me
that the situation would be taken care of, and that I should expect
a wrecker to pick up the vehicle on Monday morning.
At that point, I had friends and family telling me I should probably
seek legal counsel and check the Texas Lemon Laws. I found myself
strongly disagreeing with all of these individuals. I told many
of them the ways you had stood behind the vehicle since the day
I had bought it. Many were amazed. The thought I was telling a
fairy tale about an honest, fair, and sincere car dealer that
lived in a land far, far away a long time ago. I actually enjoyed
telling people of my situation because it had a great ending.
It also made me look like I made a great decision in buying a
car. Later, you actually replaced the engine in my car. This time,
all I paid for was a couple of hours of labor and towing fee.
You really stood behind my vehicle. You and your employees really
deserve recognition. The way all of you spent your time, energy,
and resources to handle my situation was incredible. However,
I know that is the way you take care of all your costumers.
I have dealt with Michael in Sales, Ben in service, and the friendly
lady in your parts department. I apologize for not knowing her
name. I know there are others who were involved that deserve recognition
as well. It has been a pleasure doing business with all of you.
I really enjoy the vehicle and thank all of you for that enjoyment.
Sincerely, Bryan H.

| Dear
SWA,
Enclosed is a spare key for the black 740 Volvo I traded in for
the wine 740 turbo. We left for Big Bend National Park the Sunday
following the purchase of the 740. I was nervous about going that
far in an unknown car. I felt confident that SW Auto had done
the maintenance that you claimed. Well, three days into the trip,
the Turbo began screaming. My heart sank realizing the trip was
about to be cut short. I called your service manager, Ben Moreno
and described the problem. After a little discussion, he said
it sounded like the vacuum bypass valve hose needed to be replaced.
Wednesday morning I borrowed an Allen wrench and screwdriver and
bought four clamps and about a foot and half of hose. Ten minutes
and $4.85 later, the 740 was flying again.
Thank you for the excellent vehicle and fantastic mechanic. I
will definitely recommend Southwest Auto to anyone looking to
purchase a great vehicle.
Thanks Again,
K. Davis

Dear SWA,
We would like to thank you for the unexpected special service
you gave us on our last visit when we had 150K, service done on
our car. You not only repeatedly checked on our "late" rental
car from another company, you even loaned us one of the Volvos
that you had in your shop for us to drive to got out to eat and
stop by a store while we were waiting for our car to be ready.
Your kindness is greatly appreciated and we wanted you to know.
Yesterday, while Rocky was checking the washer fluid level, he
noticed a set of keys, which we recognized to be the keys to the
car you loaned us. Rocky remembers giving them to your mechanic,
but then they went on a "test" drive so Rocky could show him a
certain noise the car had been making and the two of them looked
under the hood when they got back. He must have laid them there
while checking something. I hope this didn't inconvenience you
too much. I am enclosing the keys for you. Thanks again so much
for everything.
Sincerely, Rocky and Lisa W.

| Dear
Jon and MaryJane,
I read about your gift to the Dallas Chapter of Mended Hearts
and I was so impressed by your generosity, I just had to write
you and tell you what a wonderful gift you have given and what
a wonderful person you must be.
Mended Hearts chapters provide hope and encouragement to patients
suffering with heart disease, and so much of the good works are
overlooked, ignored and taken for granted- however you have changed
that with your generosity and good will.
How fortunate, indeed, all our chapters would be if just one person
they visited could do what you have chosen to do. May god bless
you for opening up your heart.
From my heart,
Shirley M.

Dear SWA,
I have wanted to write you a letter since you worked on my 1986
745 GLE in July, and made an otherwise hot summer day much more
comforting.
The radiator originally installed by your shop had developed a
leak. Your quick explanation of the warranty for the radiator
helped me realize your shop really backs up the work preformed.
My wife and 13-month-old daughter were planning a driving their
Volvo wagon to visit Grandpa and Grandma in Waxahachie. Once you
realized the situation we were in, you loaned us a 1990 Volvo
760 sedan. During that hot summer day, my wife was still able
to make the trip while her car was repaired, at no charge. Now
that's SERVICE!
Thanks for the exceptional service and support from your shop.
We will continually have our Volvo serviced by Just Volvo in the
future, and I look forward to working with you.
Best regards,
Paul S.

Dear SWA,
As the owner of 4 Volvo autos, I am always surprised when one
of them even needs more than the scheduled maintenance. I was
really at a loss when my wife's 740 GLE 16 valve started to leak
oil and the back window would become coated with oil. I was sure
that we had major problems with the motor and it would be very
expensive to repair. Since I live over 160 miles from your dealership,
I called to make arrangements to have it repaired.
When I talked to your Service Manager, Ben Moreno, about my problem
he suggested what the problem might be and told me just how to
check and correct it. This particular car has 145, 000 miles on
it and his diagnosis was 100% correct. I was able to correct the
problem myself by cleaning a small valve in the vacuum line. While
you did not get the repair, your service manager has made me an
even more loyal costumer. THANK YOU for the way Mr. Moreno assisted
me and the help you and all your employees have been for the past
several years. What a joy it is to tell others about my Volvo
Dealer. I wish you continued success.
Thanks Again,
Larry B.

Dear SWA,
It has probably been seven years since I first met you and your
wife, so this note of appreciation, to formally let you know how
much you and your organization have meant to me during this time,
is way overdue.
I became interested in these "safe" cars in the early 1980's.
By 1993 family members and friends were somewhat "hooked" on Volvos,
so I was frequently asked to find cars, parts, and service. In
an attempt to provide decent transportation to my brother-in-law
and his family up north, I ended up with a sick and smoking 760
GLE Turbo Diesel. This was the first time you came to my rescue
by taking this car in trade (for body parts) and selling me a
fairly clean 240. However, before I picked up the 240, you discovered
that the coolant pressure was a bit excessive, and you would not
let me have that car until you had replaced the head gasket and
changed the oil.
About this time during a visit in your office, I was also impressed
with your entrepreneurial philosophy and advice on starting one's
own business. You told me back then how important you felt it
was to have the full support of your family, and if at all possible,
to have your wife work with you in the business. Well, it certainly
appears that you have diligently sought to balance what is best
for your family, your employees, and your costumers, and I am
truly grateful for each positive experience I have had in dealing
with you and your organization.
In the last year or two I have brought several cars in for pre-
buy inspections, and once again, Ben and the rest of your team
have always been helpful and most accommodating. Just last week
Ben chased a couple of problems on a 740 I picked up for my brother-
in- law's children. My brother- in- law is a pastor and a man
of limited means. Not only did Ben perform a through diagnostic
analysis until the problems were discovered and corrected, but
you extended my out of state brother- in- law an additional discount
to further the burden of these unexpected expenses.
I realize you have worked long and hard to build your business,
and hopefully you will continue to be successful and profitable.
This is important and probably why most of us work in the first
place. However, of greater significance, at least from this costumer's
perspective, is that you have assembled an oasis of competence
and integrity in a culture that is flooded with over priced mediocrity.
I believe America is getting tired of drowning in that type of
commercial cesspool, so I thank you for providing us with your
conscientious enterprise.
Sincerely,
Paul H.

Dear SWA,
I enjoyed speaking with you in your office today. I have been
very satisfied with the work you all have done on my Volvo. I
wish I had known about you sooner.
I have already referred one of my wife's friends to you. She has
not been happy with the service she has received from a local
dealer and she was happy to hear about SWA.
Enclosed you will find a few of my business cards. I opened my
own practice about a year ago. My practice primarily consists
of representing plaintiffs. I routinely represent persons who
have been injured in car and truck wrecks. Prior to opening my
own practice I was a law clerk to a United States District Judge
and I worked for a firm that handled insurance defense of auto
and truck wrecks. I would appreciate any referrals you could send
me.
Sincerely,
Steven J.

Dear SWA,
I purchased a Volvo 240 DL from Southwest Auto Sales in mid- October.
While I'm very pleased with the way the car is running, I wanted
to write you and let you know about the good feelings that remain
with me from sales process.
Buying a car is usually a painful process, but it was a pleasure
dealing with the two of you. My thanks to you for your professionalism
and the fine service that you provide.
Sincerely
Andy O.

Dear SWA,
This is just a bleated note to thank you for your help in our
recent purchase of a new, used Volvo. As you know I flew to Dallas
from Houston hoping to purchase a vehicle in a matter of a couple
hours. You made that process very simple and stress free by meeting
me at the airport, quickly negotiating a fair price and delivering
a very well prepared vehicle. I was confident when I purchased
the car that it would be a good value and had been well maintained.
I am more confident now after several months of using the car.
No doubt I will be contacting you for another car in a few years.
Sincerely,
Doug C.

Dear SWA,
In the past, buying a car had always been successful and tiring
process. You and your staff changed the way we view that process.
We were impressed with the laid back, family atmosphere of your
establishment and felt right at home. We feel you went above and
beyond your duty in our car buying experience. Your attention
to detail, prompt response to even the most minor of issues and
desire to ensure that we were satisfied with our '98 Volvo V70
gave us a tremendous comfort level. We will recommend Southwest
Auto to family and friends interested in buying or maintaining
a Volvo. As far as we are concerned, you earned a customer for
the life of our car and we look forward to building a trusting
relationship with you. Thank you for everything.
Best Regards, Andrew and Lynette B.

Jon,
Jon, I wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for making Southwest
Auto happen. Your business literally allows me to own a Volvo.
I find it difficult to impossible to deal with dealerships.
Please forward my thanks to Jesse and Ben as well. Jesse was very
straightforward and helpful in my recent search for an S70 for
my son to drive. I think it is awesome that someone in sales so
honestly helped find the best "fit" in a used car, even if it
was from an individual seller! I certainly know where to send
my friends to get a fair deal on a good used Volvo!
After I found the S70 Ben was very helpful in doing the "Pre-Buy"
and took the time to talk to me about the car. I brought the car
in fully expecting to pay for almost all of a 60K service. However,
Ben was able to determine all but the pollen filter replacement
was done and saved me a good deal. What a pleasant surprise and
how nice NOT to be taken advantage of like so many dealers would
have. Again, I know where to send my friends for outstanding Volvo
service. See you at 70,000 miles.
Sincerely,
Gary D.

Jesse,
Thanks for your help in finding a safe, reliable used car at a
good price for Ian to drive. I really appreciate all you help,
especially that it was OK with you if I found a good deal with
someone else!
I was in yesterday with the '98 S70 I found in The Colony to have
the pre-buy done. It was even better than I expected. Everything
was good and the 60K had been done after all. It only needed a
pollen filter and a battery hold down to come up to spec.
You were so nice to us I hated to buy elsewhere but this car was
almost exactly what I wanted for Ian and I ended up paying $9100
for it. Looks like the Certified Used Warranty will transfer for
$40 as well.
I had a thought and will follow up if you are interested. The
American Airlines Employees Credit Union has several programs
that help their members find and buy good cars at reasonable prices.
I tried to use one called CyberAutoNetwork that connects dealers
with credit union members under a "no hassle, no haggle agreement"
but had trouble with all 3 Volvo dealers they listed sticking
with their side of the deal. I am in the process of complaining
about these dealers right now and will be talking to the principal
at the credit union shortly.
I would be happy to recommend Southwest Auto be added to their
list of recommended contacts for a good used Volvo. I would highly
recommend Jesse at Southwest Auto as the best guy to call for
a used Volvo.
Let me know if this would be of interest.
Thanks again,
Gary & Ian D.

Ben,
Thanks for taking the time to talk to me about the S70 I brought
in for the pre-buy yesterday. It was a big help and I really appreciate
that you were so honest about the 60K service being previously
done except for the pollen filter. I had expected to pay to have
most of the 60K done. What a pleasant surprise! I'll be back for
the 10K service and the timing belt (70K) in a couple of months.
Thanks again, Gary D.

Dear SWA
I have meant to send thanks along to you for some time, for the
wonderful care you take, not just of the Volvos, but their customers,
too. The latest episode, where you brought my 1995 850 5 speed
(which I bought from you, also), back to life after a vicious
attack by a chunk of turn lane speed bump that broke the axle
and lots of other stuff, is just another example of your outstanding
service, and the wonderful staff who work for you.
Having been a customer of yours for some years now, and having
had the experience of getting my old 1984 240 serviced at many
other Volvo dealerships and shops around the Dallas area, it is
a refreshing change to go to get my car worked on, knowing I don't
drive away feeling that your hand was in my wallet the entire
time. I really like the way that you give an account of what was
found with the car, what really needs to be done now, what could
wait until later, and anything else that may've been found, this
is pretty much my call on whether or not to do it or not.
There is a lot of loyalty that gets built up over the years, when
you know you can trust the folds taking care of your car, and
that they really care about their customers. I've even gotten
a ride to the shop from MaryJane, when my old Volvo decided to
die the Friday before 4th of July weekend, and she was concerned
about me sitting in a hot car, waiting for the tow - that just
doesn't happen at other shops! Everyone at Southwest Auto, from
reception, to service, to sales, to Jon and MaryJane has always
been very personable and helpful.
Since there were so many other times that I had wanted to say
thanks to all you for all that you do - and hadn't done it - I
wanted to be sure you knew how much I really appreciated you guys,
this time. My car was a mess, I was in shock with all that had
gone wrong with my car in such a short time (including watching
the car skid off the tow trucks flatbed - ON the busted axle -
when the tow hook mount broke off midway through getting my car
onto the flatbed): and my worst fear was that it would be declared
unfixable (I love this car). You not only directed me to contact
my insurance company for this (fortunately this was covered damage),
but got all other work needed - body shop, new tire, etc.
Whenever anyone asks about a place to get their Volvo worked on,
or to find one to buy, I recommend you fold without hesitation.
You are the best!
Thanks again,
Anita P.

Jesse,
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed driving our Volvo back home
last weekend. It drives great and cruises on the Interstate unbelievably
well. My wife absolutely loves it and she is so proud of it. I
appreciate the way you handled the sales transaction, as the whole
process was very smooth and flawless. I did not know it could
be so easy to purchase a vehicle over the phone in another state.
Feel free to use us as a reference for Southwest Auto at any time.
We look forward to many miles of driving from our Volvo.
Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Stennis J.

Dear Jon,
I want to express my appreciation for the professional, knowledgeable,
and honest treatment provided by Southwest Auto during my recent
purchase of a 1998 Volvo S70.
I especially want to recognize your Sales Manager, Robert Kaiser.
Thanks to Robert, this was a very pleasurable car buying experience
- far better than I have experienced with other dealers in the
past.
I also want to recognize your service manager, Ben Moreno. The
excellent, reasonably priced service provided by Ben and his staff
for my 1990 Volvo 745 was the reason why my wife and I decided
to become a "two Volvo" family!
I would highly recommend Southwest Auto for anyone seeking Volvo
sales and service. Your company is truly a class organization.
Best regards,
Gary S.

Folks,
Thank you for the $50.00 referral check for the Jenny Thomas sale.
Actually, Jenny is my daughter's friend and it was my daughter
that suggested that Jenny see you folks for a car. My daughter
claimed the $50.00 before I knew it was coming. These college
students are always hungry for money!
I am enjoying the 850 I bought from you. I was particularly impressed
by the fact that Dann spent a whole morning fixing the windshield
washer problem for me. This was particularly impressive since
I arrived without an appointment. It looks like you can expect
repeat business from a long time Volvo family.
Thanks again,
Ross W.

Thanks Guys!!!
I got a number of really good replies; I'll save each of those
leads for future use. Ben, the Service Manager at Southwest Auto
(www.southwestauto.com), called me and put me in contact with
Rodney (his parts guy). They had all of the parts that I needed
at a very reasonable price and were within easy driving distance,
so that I could visually inspect the parts before the purchase.
I really appreciate every response that I got, and the time you
each took to help me.
We really are the best.

Hello!
I have a mintish 88 760 T-Wagon with 75K on it. I just want to
tell everyone what a good experience I had dealing with Southwest
Auto/Just Volvo Parts in Dallas.
Daniel, in parts, was very patient and deliberate in meeting my
needs. The owner, Jon, was very astute on advising me on this
older Volvo system.
Three cheers for the guys at Southwest Auto! Call them 1-800-738-6586.
