That’s why we offer our Road Hazard Warranty — designed to give you peace of mind with every mile. We’re committed to standing behind the work we do and the products we sell. Our Road Hazard Warranty is just one more way we help protect what matters most — your safety, your confidence, and your peace of mind on every drive.
Our Road Hazard Warranty protects your eligible tire purchase against damage caused by common driving hazards, including:
- Potholes
- Nails or screws
- Glass or sharp debris
- Uneven or damaged road surfaces
Coverage Term:
- Valid for 36 months from the date of purchase or until the tread depth reaches 3/32”, whichever comes first.
What’s Covered
- Flat Repairs: We’ll cover up to $25 per repair, per tire for eligible flat repairs.
- Tire Replacement: If a tire is damaged beyond repair due to an eligible road hazard, we’ll cover a portion of the original tire price based on the age of the tire (see below).
- Authorized Service: All inspections, repairs, or replacements must be performed by Southwest Auto or an approved service facility authorized in advance by Southwest Auto. Unauthorized repairs or replacements may void this warranty.
To make things simple, just:
- Keep your original purchase receipt.
- Bring your vehicle and damaged tire(s) to Southwest Auto for inspection.
- Report the incident within 30 days of the damage.
Our team will walk you through the process and get you back on the road as quickly as possible.
While we stand behind every product and service we provide, this warranty isn’t insurance and does not cover:
Non-Road Hazard Damage
- Accidents, curb impacts, vandalism, or theft
- Fire, off-road use, racing, or misuse
- Manufacturer defects or workmanship issues
Improper Maintenance
- Damage from misalignment, worn suspension, or incorrect tire pressure
- Neglect or failure to maintain tires properly
Excluded Vehicles
- Commercial, delivery, rideshare, taxi, or fleet vehicles (unless approved in writing)
Other Limitations
- Cosmetic tire or wheel damage
- Towing, rental, or loss of use
- Tires not purchased from Southwest Auto
If a tire is damaged beyond repair due to an eligible road hazard, replacement value will be based on the age of the tire:
- Year 1: 100% of the original purchase price
- Year 2: 50% of the original purchase price
- Year 3: 25% of the original purchase price
Maximum Benefit:
- Up to $300 per tire
- $1,200 total per vehicle during the warranty term
Transfer, Cancellation & Disputes
- This warranty is non-transferable and non-refundable.
- All claims are subject to review and approval by Southwest Auto.
ROaD HaZaRD WaRRANTY – QUICK FaQS
1. WHaT COUNTS aS a “ROaD HaZaRD”?
A road hazard is any unexpected object or condition on the road that causes damage to your tire — such as potholes, nails, screws, glass, or sharp debris. Normal wear and tear or damage from accidents, curbs, or mechanical issues (like misalignment) aren’t covered.
2. DO I HaVE TO COME BaCK TO SOUTHWEST aUTO FOR REPaIRS?
Yes — all inspections, repairs, and replacements must be done at Southwest Auto or pre-approved by our team. If you’re out of town or unable to bring the vehicle in, just call us first. We’ll help coordinate an approved repair facility so your coverage stays valid.
3. HOW DOES THE REIMBURSEMENT WORK IF MY TIRE CaN’T BE REPaIRED?
If your tire is damaged beyond repair due to an eligible road hazard, we’ll cover a portion of the original purchase price:
- 100% in the first year
- 50% in the second year
- 25% in the third year
Coverage caps at $300 per tire or $1,200 per vehicle during the warranty term.
4. WHaT IF MY VEHICLE IS USED FOR BUSINESS, DELIVERY, OR RIDESHaRE?
Commercial, fleet, or rideshare vehicles aren’t automatically covered. However, in some cases, we can approve coverage in writing before purchase — just ask our team if your vehicle qualifies.
5. DOES THE WaRRaNTY COVER TOWING OR a RENTaL CaR IF I GET a FLaT?
No — the Road Hazard Warranty only covers the tire repair or replacement cost. Towing, rentals, or other related expenses aren’t included.
